Dennis Horne’s ‘Latter Leaves in the Life of Lorenzo Snow’ reviewed in BYU Studies Quarterly

Latter Leaves Lorenzo Snow 2x3Dennis Horne’s “The Life of Orson F. Whitney: Historian, Poet, Apostle” is the author’s latest work, but it’s his previous book, “Latter Leaves in the Life of Lorenzo Snow,” that’s been reviewed in the scholarly BYU Studies Quarterly.

William G. Hartley, who reviewed “Latter Leaves,” calls the book “an important study,” adding that Horne is no stranger to writing about historical figures and events from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including the life and teachings of Bruce R. McConkie.

Life-of-Orson-F-Whitney_2x3Hartley praises Horne’s “Latter Leaves,” calling it “… the most definitive work on the leader and prophet
who brought the Mormon faith into the twentieth century,” and concluding that, “Latter-day Saints will appreciate Horne’s faithful treatment of Lorenzo Snow’s prophetic impact, and readers of any persuasion will find here
an excellently researched, documented, structured, and argued history.”

“Latter Leaves in the Life of Lorenzo Snow” and “The Life of Orson F. Whitney: Historian, Poet, Apostle” are available in bookstores and from online retailers.
