October is a busy release month for our LDS nonfiction titles. Four of the five books are slated for an Oct. 8 release date, while one — David Ridges’ “The Old Testament Made Easier” Deluxe Set will be released on Oct. 16.
Of particular interest, David S. Baxter’s “Peace, Be Still” is a first for us. Baxter is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ First Quorum of the Seventy and is the first General Authority to publish with Cedar Fort.
When released, each of these titles will be available in bookstores and from online retailers.
Let heaven bring you the meaning of Christmas. “Angels of Christmas” expresses the significance of the Savior’s birth through the stories of those humble people who were visited by heavenly messengers in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. This reverent poetry will make your Christmas season one of worship and adoration of the Savior.
In a world where it is increasingly difficult to simply “be still,” David Baxter teaches us how to find pause from the furiously fast and numbingly noisy world. “Peace, Be Still” will enable every reader to identify, feel, and realize a greater sense of personal peace.
You no longer have to worry about sacrament programs being folded into paper airplanes; now, your kids can fold CTR shields, pioneer handcarts, or the Salt Lake Temple! As you develop the unique skill of creating these simple-to-intermediate origami designs, you will find opportunities to use them with all ages for lessons, activities, crafting, and everyday fun!
