Sarah Dunster’s ‘Mile 21’ wins Whitney Award

Mile 21_2x3The 2013 Whitney Awards were handed out at a gala event at the Davis Convention Center on Saturday, April 26.

Of the three Cedar Fort novels up for award consideration, Sarah Dunster’s “Mile 21” was the one one to come away with an award. “Mile 21” was recognized as the Best General Novel.

Carla Kelly’s “Safe Passage” (Historical) and Phyllis Gunderson’s “The Mounds Anomaly” (Historical) were the other Cedar Fort finalists.

The Whitney gala event is held in conjunction with the LDS Storymakers conference.
